Description: Students planned and carried out an investigation into what plants need to grow. "Do plants need both sunlight and water to grow?" They started by making a prediction. The Hands-on investigation consisted of testing whether plants need both sunlight and water to grow. Each group used four plants. Two plants were put on the windowsill and the other two plants in the cupboard. Students watered one plant on the windowsill, and they did not water the other plant. They did the same with the ones in the cupboard. Students took photos of the process and materials used. They added data to a table and created a graph from the table. To show the investigation over time, students added photos to iMovie and inserted the movie into the Numbers project. Students used five sheets for the project: Project Overview, Set Up, Data, Results, and Explanation. Students recoreded audio for each sheet.
