Social Emotional Learning and Support

Why is Social-Emotional Support important?

Social-emotional supports are resources provided to help our families, students, and staff with their social and emotional health. Social-emotional supports are based on the concepts of social emotional learning (SEL). SEL is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions (https://casel.org/what-is-sel/).

About Us

We are your Support Staff at Greenfield Union School District and are here to support our students, staff, and Greenfield families. We are compiled of School Social Workers and School Counselors but work as a team to ensure that appropriate programs and services are available for all our students and families at GFUSD. We are committed to helping our students and families acquire the resources they need to be successful socially, emotionally, and academically.
