History

The G-E-T Construction class started the tiny house builds during the 2016-17 school year. The first one was done outside of the shop and built very large in regards to tiny house building.

The second year (2017-18) of the tiny house required big changes! Outdated ductwork was removed and a two foot taller garage door was installed to allow for the tiny house to be built inside. This allowed students to work in a controlled environment and focus on the skillset of carpentry rather than fighting the elements.

The third year (2018-19) of the tiny house builds. We continued to build inside and worked even closer with business partners to complete the project from start to finish. Students were involved in all facets of the construction process as well as building relationships with industry partners.
