The Gervais High School Agricultural Education and Welding programs are off to an incredible start this year! Ag Science students are fully immersed in hands-on learning with major livestock species, including beef cattle, poultry, swine, goats, and sheep — and even raising chickens in class to build real animal handling skills. Our floriculture unit has been bursting with creativity as students designed pumpkin arrangements and floral bouquets to deliver to Heartwood Memory Care in Woodburn, allowing them to explore industry careers while giving back to the community. Meanwhile, welding students have been practicing their weld patterns and safety techniques as they prepare for exciting new fabrication projects. The Gervais High School Ag program is truly a place where students grow — developing practical, industry-aligned skills that will support them through college, careers, and lifelong success.
