This year, the thirteenth annual Honors Symposium has moved online. Please enjoy the wide range of research and creative activities of the honors students on both the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses of Georgia Southern University.
symposium intro.mp4The students have worked hard to transition their presentations to a video format for the Spring 2020 Honors Virtual Symposium. They are to be especially commended for completing their research and their presentations while away from campus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As always, the symposium provides a venue for graduating seniors to discuss their Honors Thesis / Honors Project scholarship. Honors students in their first, second, and third years were invited to present their work in electronic poster form. While we are unable to host this event in person this year, we have created a place where their amazing work can still be viewed and appreciated by others. On this site you can view recorded versions of students' poster and thesis presentations as well as engage with the presenters through the comment section. From April 27-May 1, presentations will be posted on YouTube and the comments section will be open for audience engagement with presenters. While many of the presentations will still be accessible after May 1, the comments will be turned off.
Students' presentations are divided between Poster Presentations and Thesis Presentations in the tabs above. Within those tabs, the presentations are sorted by college. While we encourage you to view as many student presentations as possible, you can find specific presentations by looking at the page for each college or by searching for a specific student's name in the search bar in the top right corner.

If a video is not loading, please come back later.One of the highlights of an in-person conference or symposium is the opportunity for audience members to engage with presenters. Since we are hosting an asynchronous symposium, that engagement will take place via typed comments on the YouTube video for each presentation. Use the comment section to pose any questions or comments you may have regarding the presentation, its subject matter, or any other questions you may have for the presenter. The presenters will be checking in on their videos regularly in order to answer any questions or address any comments posed in the comment section.
