Welcome to the Spring 2021 Virtual Honors Symposium

Please enjoy the wide range of research and creative activities of the honors students on both the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses of Georgia Southern University. This semester's symposium is completely virtual allowing us to showcase these outstanding projects to a wider audience.

About the Symposium

As always, the symposium provides a venue for graduating seniors to discuss the results of their Honors Theses / Honors Projects. Honors students in their first, second, and third years were invited to present their work as well and these are labeled as "Additional Presentations". On this site you can view recorded versions of students' presentations as well as engage with the presenters through the comment section. From Monday, April 26 until Friday, April 30, presentations will be posted on YouTube and the comments section will be open for audience engagement with presenters. While many of the presentations will still be accessible after April 30, the comments will be turned off.

Viewing

Students' presentations are sorted by the college home of their major. While we encourage you to view as many student presentations as possible, you can find specific presentations by looking at the page for each college or by searching for a specific student's name in the search bar in the top right corner.

You can view each video within this site with just a click!

Please be patient. Many visitors are attending and competing for bandwidth. If a video is not loading, please come back later.

Engagement

One of the highlights of an in-person conference or symposium is the opportunity for audience members to engage with presenters. Since we are hosting an asynchronous symposium, that engagement will take place via typed comments on the YouTube video for each presentation. Use the comment section to pose any questions or comments you may have regarding the presentation, its subject matter, or any other questions you may have for the presenter. The presenters will be checking in on their videos regularly in order to answer any questions or address any comments posed in the comment section.

While you can view each video in this site, click on the 'watch on YouTube' link located at the bottom right corner of each video to get to the comments section.
