Summary:
Design considerations and project management were important discussions made in the first weeks of the project.
The research and design process proved to be an ongoing task. Important Features, such as the heating system, were improvements considered and implemented partway through the process. The primary circuit board was a major improvement made during the build process to improve upon the initial protoboard design with purpose-built printed circuit boards.
The greatest challenge and delay for our team was the implementation of the project structure, including the wood box, fabric, and PVC frame. However, the resulting structure proved to be well worth the extra time and labor!
Overall the team worked approximately 325 hours on all steps of the project, with a final prototype cost of $571.
