Dr. Priya Thamburaj Goeser

Dr. Goeser received her B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and her Ph.D. from the University of Delaware. She then worked as a research associate (post-doctoral fellow) at the Center for Composite Materials, University of Delaware for two years before joining the Engineering Studies Program at Armstrong State University as an Assistant Professor in August 2003. She is currently a full Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Southern University - Armstrong Campus. Her past research focused on theoretical and numerical work in the area of composite materials. Her current research interests include structural health monitoring, damage modeling in materials, computational biomechanics and innovative methods in engineering education.
