Our flagship software platform, Echo Science, is being developed to automate the analysis and interpretation of nondestructive evaluation data. By integrating inspection physics with data-driven analysis, Echo Science is designed to help inspectors identify, characterize, and evaluate potential defects more efficiently while remaining compatible with commercially available inspection equipment.
Echo Science can support both inspector-led and automated inspection workflows. In traditional field applications, the platform can assist inspectors by transforming complex inspection data into actionable information. When integrated with robotic systems, Echo Science can extend this capability to adaptive inspection, using inspection findings to identify areas requiring additional evaluation and guide targeted rescanning.
The platform is initially focused on ultrasonic inspection of welded steel, with a broader vision of supporting multiple NDE methods and applications across transportation, energy, manufacturing, aerospace, and other industries where structural integrity is critical.
Echo Science extends beyond data analysis to support intelligent robotic inspection. By integrating inspection results with robotic systems, the platform is being developed to identify areas requiring additional evaluation and direct targeted rescanning, enabling inspection workflows that adapt based on what the system finds.
Nondestructive evaluation of critical infrastructure often requires skilled inspectors to collect and interpret complex data in challenging field environments. Echo Science is designed to support these existing workflows by transforming inspection data into clearer, actionable information, helping inspectors identify areas of concern and make informed engineering decisions more efficiently.
