Study the potential impacts of global climate change stressors on organisms and ecosystems of the Atlantic Coastal Plain by participating in research experiences with faculty from the Biology Department at Georgia Southern University. The Georgia Southern University REU program in Coastal Plain Ecosystems is a summer research program supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Our program is an exciting opportunity for 10 undergraduate students to be awarded fellowships to actively engage in a 10 week interdisciplinary research experience. This REU will be held on the Georgia Southern University Statesboro Campus.
Students work in a research setting (laboratory and field) with faculty mentors
$650/week stipend for 10-weeks (housing and meal plan options included)
Students participate in professional development workshops throughout the summer
Several field trips and guest lectures scheduled throughout the summer
Present research at the end of the program in a scientific symposium
