Downtown Savannah is among the most charming in the U.S., so we expect a number of participants will want to stay there and rideshare to campus. Accordingly, we secured a block of rooms at special conference rate in the Courtyard by Marriott, Savannah Downtown/Historic District. To book a room at the conference rate, please use the above link before March 7, 2022.

If you prefer a solution within walking distance of campus (they are more affordable but few, rather isolated, and very basic), the nearest Red Roof Inn will also set a block of rooms aside for conference participants. To book there, call (912) 927 7720 and ask for the conference rate, group name “Gone Fishing”.

(For more options, follow the map’s “More options”. Prices go up in the Spring.)

Getting There

Chatham Area Transit’s Airport Express provides the cheapest service between the airport and downtown — stopping at several hotels including the Marriott. It runs 7 times a day and takes approximately 25 minutes (see pdf schedule).

Parking

If you arrive on campus with your own car, stop at the little “Eagle Card and Parking Services” building (12A on the map below, next to Fine Arts Hall just upon entering campus) and request a guest pass for your license plate number. Then use the University Hall Parking Lot (P4 on the map, off University Drive).
