A two-time Fulbright Fellow, Felix has built a strong record of competitive research funding, leading projects supported by NASA, the National Science Foundation (NSF), and MD Anderson Cancer Center. As Principal Investigator, he has successfully secured and managed multiple NSF research and SBIR grants, advancing innovations in virtual reality, simulation, and human-computer interaction. He also founded the 3DRTT startup, which won the Creative Coast Alliance Entrepreneurship Competition, demonstrating the successful translation of federally funded research into innovation. His Fulbright Fellowships (2013, 2015) strengthened international computer science research collaborations across Southeast Asia. A professional member of ACM and IEEE, Felix is recognized for his sustained success in securing research funding, leading interdisciplinary collaborations, and translating scientific discoveries into impactful academic and industry outcomes.
