Students in need of a breather or someone in a safe space who will listen without judgment can ask to visit the Counselor during class, email the Counselor, or stop by the office during passing periods. The School Counselor does not offer therapy sessions on campus but can offer a listening ear, support for families, and if needed, referrals to additional resources in the community.
Suicide Prevention
We can all help prevent suicide. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7 and offers free and confidential support to people in distress. It also provides prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones. Call 1-800-273-8255, text the Crisis Text Line (text HELLO to 741741), or Live Chat the Lifeline if you or a loved one is in need. Suicide is not inevitable.
