MClass (Amplify)
Amplify is used to measure a student's fluency and comprehension. We will assess at the BOY, MOY, and EOY. We will also be progress monitoring each month.
Fluency is measured by student's reading a passage out loud for a minute. It measures the words per minute read and accuracy.
Comprehension is measured by students taking a 3 to 5 minute assessment online. Students will complete a MAZE, where students will find the best word that goes in the blank.
M.A.P. Testing
MAP (Measure of Academic Progess) testing will occur 3 times this year. It will test Math levels in the fall, middle of the year, and in the spring.
MAP testing is a computerized adaptive test is used to chart a student's academic growth from year to year.
The RIT provides information about what a student is ready to learn, not a measure of mastery or a grade.
STAAR Testing
This year, 4th graders will be taking the STAAR Math and Reading tests during the spring semester. Look for specific dates and information on this page as it approaches this spring.
