Application to Austin Community College
Timeline: Request for your transcripts and test scores to be sent immediately after you submit your application.

Send your SAT/ACT scores to colleges
Many colleges are "test-optional" this year, so only send your SAT/ACT scores if they support your application.
Starting Fall 2025: UT Austin Requires ALL students to submit SAT scores
**Many colleges that have engineerign require a minimum 620 Math SAT to be accepted (at time of application) ....UT Austin and University of Houston are two common colleges. Please make sure to view all requirements by end of Junior Year so you do not miss any information.

Monitor the status of your applications
Within 72 business hours of submitting and paying for your application, you will receive an email from the university to set up an account to monitor the status of your application. Make sure to create an account and log in frequently to know if you are missing any materials.
Apply for Institutional Scholarships
You will also have access to institutional scholarships once you submit your application. Make sure to complete, as these are the largest source of scholarships. Students should visit each webpage to apply for institutional scholarships once they have submitted their college applications. Each college has specific deadlines and instructions for its institutional scholarships. Some are listed below. Please visit the college website if the info is not found below.
