Hi! Thanks for visiting my personal website :) My name is Yuko Hirasawa. I am a third-year PhD student in Theoretical Linguistics at Georgetown University, advised by Professor Ruth Kramer. 

Research Interests: 

I work on syntactic theory, primarily drawing on data from my first language, Japanese. Here are some of the things that I have been working on: 

• A'-dependencies in Japanese relativization 

• Person-sensitive phenomenon involving the verb 'give' (ageru and kureru)

• The nature of movement chains created by scrambling
