Undergraduate Research Assistant
Shivali Vora is a senior at Georgetown University majoring in Science, Technology and International Affairs with minors in Biology and Economics. She joined the lab to pursue her interests in public health, social determinants of health, and psychosocial aspects of cancer prevention and treatment. So far, she’s been working on IMPACT 2.0 and Family Circle recruitment, and this summer she’ll be working on a study on HPV vaccine uptake among Portuguese-speaking immigrant families in the DMV area.
Outside of the lab, Shivali is an economics teaching assistant, volunteer at Crisis Text Line, writer and former editor at The Hoya, and choreographer for Georgetown Rangila. She hopes to attend medical school in the future and is especially interested in women’s health.
