Kishon Chambers is the Program Manager for the Interventions for Managing Parenting and Cancer Team (IMPACT) and the Family Circle clinical program at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University. This initiative addresses the health-related quality of life and supportive care needs of parents with cancer and their families by creating new and improved ways to connect them with local and national community-based resources, and patient education and counseling services. Kishon oversees the implementation and evaluation of these efforts across the southern region of the MedStar Cancer Institute.
Kishon is a public health scientist-practitioner and certified professional patient navigator whose work focuses on expanding access to high-quality healthcare for vulnerable populations. His interests include health disparities, cancer health equity, and strengthening care for marginalized and underrepresented communities. Kishon brings hands-on research experience across a range of complex medical, social, and environmental challenges. This includes projects on treatment adherence among patients with sickle cell disease, expanding access to assistive technology, and identifying effective treatments for patients managing congestive heart failure. Through these experiences, Kishon has developed a deep commitment to addressing the structural and social forces that shape health outcomes.
Kishon earned his Bachelor's degree in exercise science from Temple University, and a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania.
