Undergraduate Research Assistant
Ethan is a Junior at Vanderbilt University majoring in Medicine, Health, and Society with a minor in Chemistry. He joined the Tercyak Lab in June 2024 to explore his interest in the social and cultural determinants of preventive health. Specifically, Ethan works with the Young Scholars Program to reach young students across underrepresented races and ethnicities, with the ultimate goal of widening the pipeline of cancer scientists and doctors.
Outside of the lab, Ethan researches equity in HIV screening, gives lessons on health and science at local elementary and middle schools, and is a board member at Vanderbilt's Hillel. In his free time, he enjoys running on the canal and reading. He plans to pursue a career in medicine.
