Your MBA journey begins with a transformative two-week Opening Term in August, designed to ground you in the values and spirit of Georgetown McDonough. Centered on three core themes of Curriculum, Community, and Career, Opening Term: The Hoya Way sets the foundation for your academic and professional success, provides opportunities to form meaningful and long-lasting connections with your peers, and delivers your first MBA core course: Ethics, Policy, and Global Engagement. This course introduces frameworks, tools and concepts for understanding and analyzing firms and their business decisions within ethical, policy and global contexts. From the start of your MBA, you’ll begin developing essential power skills in leadership, feedback, and ethical decision-making, preparing you to lead thoughtfully, engage authentically, and make an impact from day one.
