Katherine Conhaim
I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Computational Linguistics Program at Georgetown University, where I am a member of the NERT lab led by Nathan Schneider. I am also a student in the interdisciplinary Cognitive Science concentration. Prior to attending Georgetown, I received my bachelor's in Cognitive Science with a minor in Mathematics from Case Western Reserve University.
I am interested in linguistics tasks that LLMs fail at, and how these failures can inform our understanding of what allows humans to succeed at the same tasks.
Within cognitive science, I am interested in how embodied cognition impacts our language production and comprehension through phenomena such as conceptual metaphor.Â
