Shabe Khosh directly translates to "a fun night" in Farsi and Iraqi. There were various sorts of activities available during the event. There was a calligraphy station where students were able to get their names written in a blend of both Arabic and Farsi calligraphy. Also, there was a display of authentic Persian carpets, an expert on the carpets was there to explain various aspects of the beautiful carpets and answer any questions. Moreover, there was a artifacts station where artifacts that show a blend of both Iranian and Iraqi cultures were on display such as vases and ancient cooper dishes. Iranian and Iraqi poetry was recited and there was also a Qanun player performing throughout the night.
The first ever Nowruz held at GU-Q. It was a collaboration with the Central Asian club, mixing the cultures of both clubs. Nowruz was also combined with Chahrshanbe Soori. There were booths for all the countries in Central Asian along with Iran. Students were able to pass by each booth to ask questions. Many activities took place during the event, including, poetry recital, a Kahoot game, and performances.
The Sizdeh Bedar took place on the rooftop which allowed people to enjoy their time with a beautiful view. There was a painting game which everyone joined in on, the painting is currently in the Student Life (picture on the left). There was also a Kahoot game that revolved around Sizdeh Bedar.
