What we are studying
Our research study tests a possible treatment option for anxiety and depressive disorders which uses a mindfulness-based intervention.
Time Commitment
Participants engage in eight weeks of active treatment, with twelve weeks of total participation.**
Individuals with an anxiety disorder, including: social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, or agoraphobia, or major depressive disorder .
Compensation
$60 total
General Timeline
Screening Procedures: A brief online questionnaire, phone screen, and meeting with study clinician to determine eligibility.
Treatment Period: Eight week Mindfulness-based intervention course.
Study Activities May Include: Screening procedures, virtual appointments with study instructor, and treatment-related activities.
Study Duration: Eight weeks of active treatment with follow-up visit at twelve weeks.**
** Follow-up visits in weeks twelve are done using video conferencing, or over the phone.
