Brandon V Ray is presently the Director of Diversity & Inclusion Partnerships for Charter Communications. In this capacity Mr. Ray is responsible for helping to manage Charter’s partnerships with leading civic, advocacy and professional development organizations. Prior to this, Mr. Ray was the Regional Program Manager for Amazon's Community Operations division where he served as Amazon’s point of contact for community affairs for the NY /NJ metropolitan region. In 2013, Mr. Ray served as the Regional Director of External & Legislative Affairs AT&T on Long Island. Mr. Ray served as AT&T’s representative to local government and community organizations. He led and implemented the company’s governmental public policy initiatives by developing and executing strategic legislative and public affairs tactics and strategies. He was also tasked with serving as the liaison to the AT&T Foundation to support many organizations throughout the Long Island, NY region.
Brandon attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration-Management in May of 2004. In 2006 he was chosen as one of a select group of promising leaders, when he was accepted into the National Urban Fellows Inc. fellowship program and graduated with his Masters Degree in Public Administration from The Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at C.U.N.Y Baruch College in 2007.
Brandon is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated Kappa Xi Lambda Chapter. He has been the recipient of the 2015 Long Island Business News 40 Under 40 Award, 2016 The Network Journal Magazine 40 Under 40 Award, 2017 City & State Magazine Corporate Social Responsibility Award, The 2019 Made Men Foundation Award and Long Island Business News Corporate Citizenship Award.
Brandon also served on many boards, including The United Way of Long Island, & Vision Long Island, The Girl Scouts of Nassau County Inc., Mentor NY, and the Union Baptist Church of Hempstead, NY Board of Trustees. He is presently the Board Chair for a STEM-based nonprofit Morrison Mentors, Inc. In 2009 he was appointed to the Hempstead Public Schools Board of Education and unanimously elected in 2010 where he served one three-year term.
He resides on Long Island and is married to his wife, Alicia.
