Congratulations on your selection as a 2023 National Urban League Emerging Leader!
The mission of the National Urban League movement is to enable African Americans to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights. In 2009, leadership at the National Urban League (NUL) recognized a need to address the retirement and turnover of affiliate leaders and thus, the NUL Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) was born. With an aim to strengthen the NUL leadership pipeline with a cohort of individuals prepared to compete at the CEO level and for senior positions in affiliates and volunteer leadership roles in the Movement, the ELP has established itself as an exemplary model for training tomorrow’s most effective leaders.
The National Urban League, in partnership with Georgetown University’s Business for Impact, invites you to Leading for Impact. Over the next six months, using the National Urban League Leadership Model to help you recognize and adapt your leadership behaviors, we will deliver a series of interactive educational modules that enable you - the Emerging Leaders - to realize your full leadership potential. You will learn how to strengthen your personal leadership, bolster your organizational leadership capacities, and expand your abilities to advance larger causes.
We have drawn on both Georgetown’s world-class faculty and clinical professors, and our networks of thought leaders and subject matter experts across the U.S. social sector, to deliver impactful and transformational instruction.
You will receive training in:
Visionary Leadership
The Power of Adaptive Organizational Culture
Effective Decision Making
Revenue Strategies
And much more
We look forward to working with you this year!
