Aisha R. Arrington has 20+ years of working in the non for profit field and is currently the President & CEO of the Fort Wayne Urban League. She held previous positions with several local non-profits including; Aging and In-Home Services, Healthier Moms & Babies, and as Executive Director of the LTC Ombudsman Program; where she served for 14 years. She is a Fort Wayne native and graduated from Purdue Fort Wayne with her undergraduate degree. Aisha is a proud warrior and graduate of Indiana Tech with a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership. She participated in Indiana Tech’s Go FOR it! campaign with a TV commercial and radio spots. Her community leadership includes graduating from Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (2014), Leadership Fort Wayne (2017), and the completion of Foellinger Foundation’s Executive Leader Program (2019). She created the LTC Ombudsman Annual Pajama Drive where thousands of nursing home neighbors have been served with a new pajama or gown. Aisha was featured as a She Glow(s) community leader in Glo Magazine (2017) and was honored to receive the Alumnus of the Year Award from Indiana Tech (2021). Her passions include writing, with the publication of several Op-Ed’s with the Journal Gazette, and serving the underprivileged, underserved, and those often forgotten. Aisha was appointed to Fort Wayne Metro Human Relations Board by Mayor Tom Henry (2018) and now serves as Chair.
