Our Club Founders, Ilgar Gapagov and Juan Carlo Landayan (both GU-Q '24), realized that there are limited options for Hoyas to participate as delegates in Model United Nation conferences. They also found that there are people who are interested in other kinds of Diplomatic and Political Simulation events, besides Model UN, like Historical Committees, Parliamentary/Congressional Debate, and Diplomatic Conference Simulations. Seeing all of this, they worked together during the Summer of 2021 to come up with a club that would provide Hoyas the opportunities to be able to engage in these kinds of activities in a fun and memorable way.
