What is the Wood Ministry and what do they do?
The Wood Ministry is a group led by local volunteers who have a set-up at the Fernwood Pioneer Cemetery, where they meet every Saturday morning to split wood, and load it into trucks and/or storage. The wood is delivered to homes in need, in and around the Newberg area.
For many of our neighbors, firewood isn’t just a comfort — it’s a lifeline.
In the coldest months of the year, wood provides warmth, and keeps families safe. Without it, winter becomes not just hard — it becomes dangerous.
Your donation will help us serve families in need by supplying cut, split, and delivered firewood — freely given with love and compassion.
