Q-SiNG gathers pioneers in research and development of navigation and kinematic gravimetry: high accuracy navigation and kinematic surveying, sensor orientation and calibration, trajectory determination and their integration (GeoNumerics), quantum technologies for metrology and high precision measurements of cold atoms (Syrte, CNRS), vertically integrated provider of Inertial Systems through scalable FOG sensors and Quartz/MEMS Accelerometers (Civitanavi Systems), gravity field modelling (GRED), and developers and manufacturers of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) systems (IQUA).
GeoNumerics S.L. is a research-and-development (R&D) intensive Spanish small and medium enterprise (SME) devoted to geomatics and navigation. The company sells software licenses of computational numerical kernels for sensor orientation, sensor calibration and trajectory determination purposes; provides R&D services to other companies or public bodies, be it as specialised report or bespoke scientific/technical software; and conducts advanced R&D tasks within the frame of Spanish and European R&D programmes, i.e., Horizon 2020 or Horizon Europe. GN focuses on the needs and technology of high accuracy navigation and kinematic surveying, sensor orientation and calibration, trajectory determination and their integration.
The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) is a government-funded research organization under the administrative authority of the French Ministry in charge of research. CNRS is the main fundamental research organization in Europe and is largely involved in national, European, and international projects covering all fields of knowledge.
CNRS is organized in 1211 laboratories. The CNRS laboratory performing the activities of the Q-SiNG project is SYRTE (Systèmes de Référence Temps-Espace). The Atom Interferometry and Inertial Sensor group at SYRTE develops quantum technologies for metrology, high precision measurements and industrial applications of cold atoms.
CIVITANAVI SYSTEMS SPA is a High-Tech Italian company dedicated to the design, development and manufacturing of a wide range of Navigation and Stabilization, from tactical to high accuracy inertial solutions through its non ITAR, proprietary and scalable Fiber Optic Gyroscope technology.
The company mission is to gain the role of European leader in the Inertial Navigation Solutions (INS) and C&C integrated solution for airborne navigation (manned/unmanned), and intelligent transportation, in stabilization and land/maritime applications. Civitanavi Systems is a vertically integrated provider of Inertial Systems through its proprietary ITAR free technology utilizing scalable FOG sensors and Quartz/MEMS Accelerometers, in house manufacturing process, advanced Navigation and inertial sensor fusion algorithms.
GEOMATICS RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT SRL (GRED) is an Italian SME, spin-off of Politecnico di Milano University that studies, designs and develops innovative and highly customized solutions based on geodesy and geomatics techniques, mainly in two fields of application: precise GNSS positioning and gravimetry.
GReD has deeply expertise in all the aspects related to the gravity field modelling. In particular, in a fast gravity field predictors, to give information to the inertial navigation system and providing estimations to the gravitational acceleration sensed by the inertial system and improving the actual knowledge of the static gravity field.
IQUA ROBOTICS SOCIEDAD LIMITADA is a Spanish spin-off company from the University of Girona. IQUA Robotics designs, develops and manufactures Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) systems which can be adapted for a wide range of research and professional applications. IQUA currently commercializes the Girona 500 and the Sparus II, two lightweight and versatile vehicles which can be easily configured for any task thanks to their open conception from both the software and hardware points of view. Easy adaptation make IQUA’s product appealing to many scientific and academic applications. The company also commercializes hardware and software solutions for the underwater exploration market.
