Extra facts: The Rainbow trout get their name from the various colors of their scales. They can grow rather large, and are part of the salmon family. Rainbow trout have will almost always return to where they were born to lay eggs. While native to the Rocky Mountains, they have been introduced all over the US as a popular game fish.
