MARINE TRADES
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

The Marine Trades Apprenticeship Program is the first of its kind here in Ohio. Working with the marinas and other water recreation businesses, the program was created to give a prospective student a solid foundation in working with watercraft of all kinds. Yamaha has partnered with the Great Lakes Community Action Partnership to provide the engines, materials, and textbooks for the students. All classes will be held at the Ottawa County Resource Center in Oak Harbor. An apprenticeship allows a student to work and earn a paycheck while going to school for free. On-the-job training and no student debt are major perks of this and all apprenticeship programs. If you love boating, being on the water, and spending time at the lake, this program might be a great fit for you.
