Mrs. Schmidt

Hello! My name is Lauren Schmidt and I teach 7th grade English/Language Arts. This will be my tenth year of teaching here at GMS. I am anxiously awaiting for the 2022-23 school year to start and I cannot wait to meet all of my students.

I grew up in Sheffield, IL, and I graduated from Bureau Valley High School in 2008. I started my college career at Illinois State University, but I ended up transferring and graduating from Northern Illinois University in 2012. I have my secondary teaching certificate in both English and history.

I absolutely LOVE Harry Potter.

I am a Green Bay Packers fan.

In my free time, I love to read and binge-watch TV series on Netflix.

My husband's name is Alex, we have a daughter named Elouise, a son named Edmund, and a dog named Vader!
