Dear Parents,
One more week until half term break! This has been an exciting start for our students with extracurricular activities being implemented in Secondary. Students are learning a range of different skills. There was a hype of excitement on Tuesday with students enjoying robotic activities, dancing, art, playing chess, reading cub and much more. By participating in these activities, your children develop the skills they need in order to successfully work with others. In addition, extracurricular activities let children build relationships and socialise with peers who share their interests.
This week our student Well Being Team arranged a series of activities to celebrate World Mental Health Day.
World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. The theme this year is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’. This is to improve knowledge, raise awareness and drive actions that promote and protect everyone’s mental health.
Reminder – as mentioned in last week’s article October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This Tuesday 17th we invite students to wear pink to show our support to all the brave people that have fought and continue to fight the battle against Cancer.
I look forward to seeing you all in pink on Tuesday.
I hope you have a wonderful week.
Kind Regards
Ms. Ciara Lillis
Deputy Head of Secondary
