Week Thirty Three - May 26th, 2023
Kim Conlin
Head of Primary
Dear PYP Parents,
We had a wonderful time getting ready for next week, where we celebrate the arts in the Primary school. “Splashes” of music, drama and visual arts were evident throughout the school through surprise songs, poems and dances by the children.
The IB PYP highly regards the arts and promotes creative thinking and innovation. It helps students to become global thinkers and connect their learning to real-world experiences.
We look forward to welcoming all the parents next week for concerts, plays and art exhibitions. Please check the schedule for your child’s performance timings.

Throughout the week, our arts team has been creating "splashes" or thought-provoking experiences to ignite excitement and build. momentum for our upcoming Arts Week Exhibition. These engaging activities and installations have encouraged PYP students to demonstrate various Learner Profile attributes such as communication, open-mindedness, and risk-taking. By fostering an environment that values expression, we aim to empower students to explore their artistic abilities, showcase their unique perspectives, and recognize the importance of artistic expression as a means of effective communication and self-discovery.
