Inclusion Weekly Updates
In a Professional Development session led by Niamh O'Donnell (PYP SENCo) she highlighted that diversity is a natural and welcome element of classroom life. This is depicted in the images above. Inspired by this, Ms. Sue very creatively used this idea to explore diversity in our teaching community. In her Art classes across the PYP grades students created art work with her students.
Emma Johnson, our Primary ELL Coordinator, led a Professional Development session for our Grades 1 to 5 teachers this Thursday focusing on English Language Learning (ELL). Emma discussed the importance of placing student well-being at the centre of learning and provided useful strategies for teachers to ensure that all students are able to access their learning and achieve their goals.
