Week Fourteen - November 28th, 2025
Dear Secondary Parents and Guardians,
As we reach the end of the term, I have been reflecting on what an important few months this has been for our students and for our community. Secondary school moves quickly, and every week brings new challenges, successes, and moments where young people grow a little more into who they are becoming. What has stood out most this term is the strength of our partnership with you. When home and school pull in the same direction, our students benefit enormously.
The past weeks have been full of highlights. Our National Day celebrations and the Winter Festival reminded us what a diverse and connected community we are. Thank you to our Emirati families whose contributions helped make National Day a proud moment for our students, and to our GISPA team for giving so much of their time and energy to bring our events to life. These occasions matter. They create memories, belonging, and shared identity for our young people.
Inside the school, our students have continued to impress us with their engagement, curiosity, and growing maturity. Whether it has been the exciting hands-on learning showcased in the latest edition of The Lab Diaries, the growing discipline in sports teams, the creativity in the performing arts, or the daily routines happening quietly in classrooms, our students have shown ambition and pride in their learning.
This term also marked a renewed focus on behaviour, uniform, punctuality, and the essential habits that shape successful young adults. Thank you for standing with us in this work. When parents reinforce expectations at home and we uphold them at school, students experience consistency, clarity, and care. These habits are not about rules for the sake of rules. They build self-discipline, respect, responsibility, and independence. They teach young people that details matter and that their actions have impact. These are foundations for life far beyond school.
To our teachers and staff, I am grateful for the professionalism, commitment, and heart you bring every day. You create the environment where our students can thrive. And to our students: you should be proud of yourselves. You have worked hard, supported each other, contributed to our community, and shown real growth. Enjoy this upcoming break. You have earned it.
Thank you again for your support and for the trust you place in us. The relationship between home and school is one of our greatest strengths, and I look forward to building on it as we continue into the new year.
Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday season and a restful vacation.
Kind regards,
Aaron Kane
