Last week, 40 pupils from GIS proudly represented the school at the Gulf Athletic and Activities Conference (GAAC) in Doha, Qatar. Students competed in U19 Boys Volleyball, U19 Girls Volleyball, and Swimming, showcasing both their talent and commitment over the three-day event.
GIS performed exceptionally well across all competitions, with the girls' volleyball team finishing third overall and the boys’ team securing an impressive 2nd place in what was a very high-standard tournament. Our swimmers also enjoyed huge success in the pool, delivering outstanding performances across every session. In total, GIS brought home an incredible 39 medals:10 Gold, 15 Silver and 14 Bronze
The students were fantastic — a real credit to GIS — and they represented the school with maturity, enthusiasm, and genuine sportsmanship throughout the trip. Whether competing, cheering on teammates, or interacting with students from other schools, they consistently modelled the values we strive to instill at GIS. Their energy, positivity, and team spirit made the trip a memorable one for everyone involved.
GIS Jaguar Squad Communication
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Official Jaguars WhatsApp Community. This will serve as a broadcast-only channel where coaches can share quick updates about fixtures, cancellations, logistics, and key dates.

To our students and parents who came out to support their peers, and to all those who worked tirelessly to set up their stalls, you truly brought the event to life. It was incredibly uplifting to see the creativity in every idea, the confidence in your negotiation skills, and the professionalism in your customer service. You showcased learning in action, and it was inspiring to witness.
Events like this are only possible because of the dedication, enthusiasm, and spirit of our school community. Without you all, Winterfest would not have been the success it was.

ESM ELL Winter Programme
The ESM ELL Winter Programme is specially designed for EAL (English as an Additional Language) students who need extra support in English. The programme helps non-native speakers build confidence, strengthen core language skills, and improve communication and comprehension, enabling them to better access and engage with the full school curriculum.

Fun and engaging activities to develop reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills

To update your preferences, please follow the steps below:

Click on General Consent (the consent tab is the very last option and will require you to scroll across)
Select Photographs and videos
Select your preference for your child
We require all parents to have manually ticked either 'yes' or 'no' for their child's photo consent.
WhatsApp Channels
Primary and Secondary WhatsApp Channels for our GIS community. These Channels will run on WhatsApp, meaning you will be able to manage your own notification settings and access the updates easily.
It is important to note that only our Parent Relations Executive, Helen Gornall, will be able to post messages to
these Channels and this will only be to share announcements/updates applicable. We encourage you to check
the relevant Channels regularly to remain informed about the latest developments.
