In our latest unit on "Human Ingenuity," students dove into the fascinating realm of inventions and inventors, creating mind maps that integrate Theory of Knowledge (TOK) principles. Through critical thinking, they explored connections between historical innovations and contemporary inventions, using their previous knowledge and creativity.

This week, Grade 7 ELL students focused on learning vocabulary related to UAE National Day. They described the scenes captured in photos taken during the celebrations at GIS. Additionally, they engaged in various activities, including completing a word search, a crossword puzzle, and a word unscrambling exercise. In subsequent lessons, some students successfully tackled a writing task where they compared UAE National Day celebrations with the national day festivities of their respective home countries.

Scarlett Dufva has been showcasing her ambition not only in school but representing GIS in external events. Last Weekend, Scarlett won her Dressage Competition and placed 3rd in her swimming receiving an amazing bronze medal. All of grade 6 are super proud of her achievements!
