Enrichment: Throughout coursework, students engage in project-based learning. Coursework include work-based experiences such as Shed building, garden structures, on-site structure design and build.
Community Service: In year 2 and 3 of the program, students participant in community based projects, including Habitat for Humanity, Galloway Township Public Works Department, and Ryan Homes.
Job Shadowing: Students participate in trips to shadow Union Carpenters
Students earning Career Connections Certificates and accepted into one of the apprenticeships programs participating in this agreement may obtain credit with 3 Career Connection Certificates. All advance credit for placement will be determined by Eastern States Carpenter Technical College . The student must meet apprenticeship eligibility criteria and be accepted into the program before any review of skills and award of advanced standing will take place.*
*Must attend information session, interview and test, receive recommendation from
apprenticeship committee and pass drug screening and physical requirements.
