Following our official launch on February 21, 2026, the Google Educator Group (GEG) Ghana hosted its first-ever community meet-up to empower local educators with essential digital skills. We are an independent community of like-minded professionals dedicated to sharing, learning, and collaborating to improve classroom learning through technology. 

Key Highlights from the Session

• GEG Ghana Mission: We reinforced our identity as a community focused on building a network of certified innovators in Ghana.

• Free Certification Alert: We announced a time-limited opportunity for educators to access Google Certification for free through June 2026.

• Google Classroom: The session included an introduction to GCE Level 1 tasks, such as class creation, announcements, and assignment setup. We demonstrated how to create custom rubrics for transparent grading and how to use feedback workflows to meet the needs of specific students.

• Google Slides & Drive: We live demonstrated creating impactful presentations in Google Slides, as well as core Drive skills like file organization and converting Microsoft Word files to Google Docs.
