I bring 25 years of experience in public relations, marketing and communications. I started my career with internships at Ketchum Public Relations and the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office after earning my journalism and public relations degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a minor in African American studies. I also served four years on the national board of the NAACP representing youth across five states.
My career includes roles in education, finance and law. I worked as a special projects and event coordinator at Fort Worth ISD, where I managed fundraising, events, crises and partnerships. I spent eleven years at Unity One Credit Union as the organization grew to more than $230 million in assets and about 30,000 members. The credit union expanded to nine branches, including three in-school branches. CUNA named me a Credit Union Rockstar in 2015, and I chaired the Cornerstone Marketing and BD Exec Committee.
I later joined Texas A&M School of Law as director of marketing and communications. The school nearly doubled enrollment, launched its graduate program and rose 30 spots in the U.S. News and World Report rankings during my tenure.
I serve the community through leadership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth. I sit on the YMCA board of directors and chair the philanthropy committee. I previously led an Annual Giving Campaign that supported a $1.25 million fundraising goal.
My most recent corporate role was vice president at Glint Advertising. I led client relations, project management, vendor relations and intra-agency operations while guiding strategy and creative execution across campaigns. I also managed budgets and human resources and trained under direct mentorship for future ownership. After earning my master's degree in management, I taught at the University of North Texas and now teach social media and organizational leadership at Sul Ross State University.
In November 2025, I founded The Geenuine Article LLC, a consultancy focused on strategic storytelling, leadership guidance and thoughtful brand development.
