Discovering insights with data for a better San Antonio

CivTechSA and the SmartSA partners have teamed up to share datasets with the public in order to connect communities, ideas, and data to improve the quality of life today as we build a smarter tomorrow by hosting our annual Datathon Competition.

The purpose of Datathon is for community engagement to help address internal challenges that affect the services that San Antonio city organizations provide to its residents. We are hoping teams can discover and identify opportunities and/or missing data elements in the data sets and explain how those insights could be applied in practice for the potential benefits of the community and/or partners.

Challenge Areas and Rules

This year's competition challenge areas are Affordability, Environmental Quality, and Access to Services.

All project submissions must be original, use more than one organization's data set(s), and have at least two team members on the team.
