Purpose
The Capstone Project provides students with the opportunity to discover, explore, and actively participate in learning about an area of interest or future career. Above all, the Capstone Project requires students to be independent, thoughtful learners who engage in creating personally meaningful and relevant experiences.
Objectives
I can synthesize divergent information to gain a new understanding of a specific topic or career by participating in a field experience and conducting independent research.
I can create a portfolio to display information and knowledge acquired throughout the Capstone Project by creating a website portfolio and displaying all relevant materials.
I can carry out a Capstone Presentation to present my experience and findings by orally presenting with a visual slide presentation showcasing my work.
I can construct a 15–20-page research paper about the essential question of my Capstone Project.
