3rd Junior High School of Rethymno 

2025 

During the Greek mobility a different contest took place. On the first day at school, the group from each country was given a pen and a little box. The oal was to collect shells and pebbles from all the destinations during the week of the mobility. Both teachers and students enjoyed collecting their shells in order to complete their box named "My Cretan Treasure". On the last day, a prize was given to the best collection which was the collection of the team Finland!🏆 

During the mobility in Rethymno, all the countries took part in a competition!They had to create a wreath of flowers on the 1st of May, a custom that takes place in Greece every year on that day. The students and the teachers of each country were given the necessary equipment and all they had to do is to find colourful flowers and make the wreath. The best wreath, which was the wreath of Finnish team, won a prize!!! A prize was also given to the team of Reunion Island forthe best cooperation in order to make the wreath!!!!

During the mobility in Rethymno, a photo competition among teachers and students took place! In particular, all the participants of the mobility had to take a picture of the element of water during the mobility in Crete.  By the end of the mobility, one prize was given to the best photo of "Water" and the best photo of "Water and I". The winners were Antonio and Lisa!

The Erasmus group decided to celbrate LOVE! For this reason, students and teachers made desserts inspired by Valentine's day and at school the created lucky Love cookies, wrote love wishes in cards and offered cookies packege to their classmates! They were all curious to read their "love wish" that was included in their cookies package! 

2024

• Participation in the Global Voluntary Coastal Cleanup 2024-activity of Rethymno,

     organized by the Environmental Directorate of the Municipality of Rethymno.

     The national coordinator of this action is the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection    

     Association (HELMEPA) and the clean-up program is based on the principle of Citizen  

     Science.

• Creation of our “Turn waste into good”-Campaign consisting of 2 separate activities aimed at raising awareness about the environment, recycling and charity. We took advantage of the initiative of a large supermarket chain, which in collaboration with the Environmental Education Centers runs a nationwide rewarding recycling program, which is approved by the Ministry of Environment & Energy of Greece. 

• Our purpose was to actively support the Christmas campaign of the largest organization operating in Greece for the protection of children and their families. As result of the 1st activity of our campaign, we donated the goods in the name of the Erasmus team of our school to the Organization "The Smile of the Child". "The Smile of the Child" is a voluntary non-profit organization with headquarters throughout Greece, which supports in every possible way children in need and their families.
