Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How much does it cost for my son/daughter to play on this team?

Check the Athletic Fees and pay at the office.  In addition to baseline Start-Up Athletic Fees, athletes will have to pay tournament entry fees and travel costs depending on the sport that they are playing in.

2. The coach is not giving my son/ daughter enough playing time - what can I do?

Encourage your child to first have a conversation with the coach about his/her concerns.  If this doesn't sufficiently address his/her concerns, then perhaps a parent could ask for a meeting with the coach.

3. Do I have to complete and sign an Athletic Contract for "Each and Every" sport that my son/ daughter is playing?

Not necessarily.  One signed contract for each student-athlete each school year, regardless of the number of sports played.

4. If Westsyde doesn't have a particular team, can my child play at a different school that does offer that team?

No.  Generally, student-athletes are only eligible to play at the school in which they are registered.  Before considering a move, consult with the Athletic Director or BC School Sports.
