How many modules are in this professional development learning series?
This professional development learning series is comprised of the following six (6) progressive online modules:
Understanding the Science of Reading
Building Oral Language and Phonology
Exploring Phonics and Word Study
Creating Fluent Readers
Developing Vocabulary
Increasing Reading Comprehension
Are these modules aligned with the International Dyslexia Association's (IDA) Knowledge and Practice Standards (KPS)?
Yes! Our modules are aligned with IDA's Knowledge and Practice Standards (KPS).
What dates will registration be held?
Opt-in registration was initially held from February 26, 2024 through March 15, 2024, April 8, 2024 through April 19, 2024, and then again August 5, 2024 through August 30, 2024.
However, due to the ongoing demand for these courses, a new opt-in period has been established from November 18, 2024 through December 20, 2024. To register for this new opt-in period, please click here.
What is the cost to attend?
The cost is $500 per participant, with a lower rate with 50 or more participants. Oregon educators are also eligible for three (3) graduate credits which can be applied toward the reading endorsement upon completion of all six (6) modules. The cost is $600 for three (3) graduate credits. Please note: This is an additional cost that may not be covered by your school district.

What format will these modules be offered?
These six (6) modules will be offered as online, asynchronous learning.
