Dear Families,
I hope this email finds you and your family well. Although we hoped returning to campus might be possible, Governor DeSantis’ most recent order has confirmed we will continue with remote learning through the end of the school year. For Grace, this means we will continue to utilize Google Classroom and the Zoom platform through Wednesday, May 27th.
I know this has been incredibly challenging for everyone. I am so proud of our students, our teachers, and our parents. Everyone is working hard and we are grateful for your patience, input, and flexibility. One of the true blessings of a small school environment is the relationship developed with the classroom teacher. Our teachers are continuously evaluating each student’s level of engagement and striving to create a positive learning environment, providing the support necessary for academic success. We recognize this often involves the guidance of parents and other family members. Please continue to reach out to the teachers and let them know how your child is doing and how we can best come alongside your family.
We will be holding our traditional Monday Flag gathering tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. followed by Coffee and Conversation focused on Positive Identity/Self-esteem in the age of Social Media led by Denise Warner, a licensed mental health counselor. We will continue to look for authentic ways to provide rich academic experiences and social opportunities for the remainder of the school year.
Sincerely,
Angela
