The Mechanical Engineering Department at GEC Rajkot, established in 2004, is committed to providing quality technical education to cultivate technically competent, socially responsible, environmentally conscious, and ethically sound mechanical engineers. Aligned with India's vision for national development, our department focuses on producing graduates ready to contribute to the nation's progress.

Located within the GEC Rajkot campus, opposite Kankot Village, our department benefits from the institute's strategic location in the central Saurashtra and Kutch region. We operate under the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and are affiliated with Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad.

Our Mechanical Engineering Department boasts well-equipped, state-of-the-art laboratories, supported by the institute's comprehensive library, language lab, and computer center, all enhanced through the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II). We actively promote innovation and entrepreneurship through the Student Start-up and Innovation Policy (SSIP) initiative of the State Government. Furthermore, collaboration with SIEMENS through the Centre of Excellence (CoE) strengthens our research and development activities, providing our mechanical engineering students with exceptional learning and growth opportunities.
