In today's technological era, innovations and new ideas continue to address solutions that shape the future. The Ideathon2021 organised by Government Engineering College, Rajkot under Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) in collaboration with Aarohi Embedded Systems Pvt. Ltd., is an opportunity for students with potential and creativity to be a part of technological innovations. It presents a competitive model to showcase original thinking and problem-solving aptitude using latest technologies like Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and many more to address global issues related to different domains of Society and Industry.

Rules and Regulations

Prefinal year and final year students are allowed to participate in this competition.
Maximum 4 students allowed in one team.
One team can submit only single idea.
Participant must register and fill up the Google form providing all the details as prescribed.
Ideas selected will be intimated for presentation to Panel of Judges from industry.
Participants should present their idea with a ppt and a sketch / drawing.
All the selected ideas will have chance to work with team of industry personals based on their terms and can grab knowledge on designing product with standardized industrial process, resources and guidance.
There will be periodic review of work execution and mentorship meet with industry personals.
Every shortlisted participant has to sign the NDA and they are not allowed to share any company related technical or non-technical information with anyone.
They have to complete idea execution in predefined time schedule with provided timeline.
The students will be supported for idea implementation under SSIP.
Final deliverables should be Hardware design schematic, PCB layout, Firmware, software and testing reports (whichever applicable).
There will be prize money for successful execution of the idea. For both the streams separate prize money will be awarded as per condition as follows:
- The price money will be given in accordance with shortlisted ideas. If less ideas will be shortlisted less number of prizes will be given. 5:1 Prize will be there.
- 1^st Prize: INR 40,000/-
- 2^nd Prize: INR 20,000/-
- 3^rd Prize: INR 10,000/-

FAQ

Who can Participate?

Prefinal year and final year students of technical courses are allowed to participate in this competition.

Do I need to pay any money for registration?

No, the registration in ideathon is absolutely free. So no need to pay any money to anyone.

Do we need to have the entire idea fully working?

At the time of registration, it is not necessary but on the Hackday i.e. 1st May, 2021 it should be functional so that judges can evaluate it properly.

What is NDA?

The shortlisted ideas who will get a chance to work with industry mentors, have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with the industry such that they are not allowed to share any company related technical or non-technical information with anyone.
