A Letter of Recommendation (LoR) is a document that gives an endorsement to the prospective student's application for higher studies to the institute. It is usually given by people in authority who have had direct contact with the student in terms of their academics and technical skills. It is a voluntarily given document by the recommender for the benefit of the student in pursuit of their higher studies.
It shows acknowledgement of the candidate's eligibility.
It adds credibility to the candidate's past achievements.
It is a way to show the trust of supervisor(s) in the candidates knowledge, skills, achievements and potential.
Get the tentative list of universities and respective countries in which you want to apply.
Prepare the CV and give the name of the file as your enrollment number. [e.g. If your enrollment number is 130130xx3024 then your file name of CV should be CV-130130xx3024.pdf and in case of attaching IELTS/GRE/TOEFL score card it should be IELTS- 130130xx3024.pdf, GRE-130130xx3024.pdf, TOEFL-130130xx3024.pdf respectively.]
Approach the faculties from whom you wish to get an LoR. Get consent from the faculties before applying for LoR.

Fill out the details in the form truthfully without any errors or omissions.
You will receive the response copy of the form you have filled out in your e-mail.
If you are asked for it, forward the same mail to higherstudies.bm@gecg28.ac.in
Approximate turn around time for issuing an LoR is 1-2 weeks (student needs to contact the faculty).
NOTE:
1. NO FACULTIES WILL GIVE YOU LoR without getting your application forwarded from Higher Studies Cell.
2. It is advisable to contact the faculties before you mention their names in LoR application form.
